He was born and raised in Miami, Florida, where he began his academic career at the prestigious Preparatory School of the Jesuits of Belen. During his formative years he developed a passion for helping others and solidified his desire to pursue a career as a doctor. Dr. Zuriarran, known for his patients as Dr. Z, received a full scholarship, for his leadership skills, to North Carolina State University, as a Park Scholar. He continued to obtain his medical degree at the Ponce School of Medicine, where he perfected his ability to treat patients fluently in Spanish. While in medical school, he focused his career efforts as a surgeon and later completed, with distinction, a five-year residency program at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Subsequently, he obtained the certification of the American board of surgery. His passion for perfectionism and attention to detail led him to complete three years of additional residency training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the renowned clevelan clinic Florida. While in the clinic he sharpened his skills as an aesthetic surgeon. He conducted numerous research projects and presented his findings in a series of medical conferences sponsored by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Southeast Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.
